For Love Alone at the Sheen Center
Friday, October 19 at 7:30 pm
18 Bleecker St., New York, NY
The film For Love Alone uses the testimony of religious sisters, their family members, and those they serve to convey the hidden beauty of religious life. Seventeen minutes of poignant imagery, stunning cinematography and stirring music make this the most powerful film in decades to unveil the essence and mystery of living as Brides of Christ.
An event hosted by the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal, and made possible by Frassati Fellowship, Vianney Vocations, The Sheen Center, and the Archdiocese of New York Vocation Office.
A Night for Catholic Thought Leaders and Young People
The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture is a forum to highlight the true, the good, and the beautiful as they have been expressed throughout the ages. The exclusive screening of For Love Alone will spark discussion on creating a culture of discernment to help young Catholics discover the deepest meaning of their lives.
The cast and producers will be available for questions and discussion, including Religious Sisters from the film, Dr. Peter Hamm (the father in the film), Joe Campo (Executive Director of Grassroots Films), and Fr. Chris Argano (Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of New York).
“Intense.” “Powerful.” “Beautiful.”
For Love Alone was commissioned by the CMSWR and produced by Grassroots Films, creators of the critically acclaimed film Fishers of Men about the priesthood. The new film has been hailed as one of the most soul-stirring short films ever created about religious life.
